Inclusion - connecting even more people with wonderful experiences
In September 2021, The Derwent Experience stepped up to become an NDIS Service Provider for Self-Managed and Plan-Managed clients. We have the skill set and capacity to offer a custom and supportive service to cater for the needs of Clients and their Carers and offer some “INNOVATIVE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION” experiences right here in Southern Tasmania.
Our goal over coming weeks and months is to introduce ourselves to Support Coordinators in the Greater Hobart area. We will dedicate Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to experiences catering specifically for Self-Managed and Plan-Managed Clients. Of course everybody is welcome on our regular tours and experiences that take place on other days as well.
Our “INCLUSION” experiences specifically offer “CAPACITY BUILDING” and “COACHING WITH CARE” as core elements of each encounter and time together.
Nature, Animals and Makers will be what we focus on.
Nature example = we visit Russell Falls or Chauncey Vale and make a special day out of time in nature.
Animals example = we visit Curringa Farm in the Upper Derwent Valley who have long offered farm animal encounters and tours OR an Outdoor Therapy provider who uses her Horses, Dogs and Doves for a fun and holistic approach to supporting wellness and growth.
Makers example = Textiles, Art, Ceramics, Food and Drink from local produce and ingredients - we are blessed with so many creative people who we can connect with and have a really uplifting experience.
We look forward to connecting with even more people now and sharing the wonder and beauty of what our region and locals offer.
Please reach out if you have any questions. We are happy to come and talk to you and explain in greater detail how we can serve your clients or loved ones, and give them a wonderful experience.
Wishing you a great finish to 2021 and a much better 2022 for us all.
